I'm excited to welcome Allison Post to the podcast. We’re digging into how the breath can improve fertility. Allison Post is an Integrative Medicine Health Coach and Somatic Educator. In a career spanning four decades she has taught courses in many modalities of massage, breath, and bodywork, and has helped many thousands of adults and children— with chronic illness, digestive discomfort, and physical challenges. She guides people through the transitions of pregnancy, birth, chronic stress, menopause, aging, grief and loss, and trauma arising from injury, surgery, and personal crisis. We tend to take sips of breath throughout the day or hold the breath, especially when we are anxious. Most of us don't even notice our breath. Paying attention to our breath has numerous health benefits. Getting to the full belly breathing is where the magic lies and turns out it is very restorative for our health and fertility. The inhale is equally important as the exhale. For me the exhale (doing a really long one - took some practice). The exhale is how we get rid of all the toxins and allow fresh oxygen to flow back into our body. Take a moment....to B-R-E-A-T-H-E.
